WHY ARE TRUMP AND THE MAGA REPUBLICANS ALWAYS CRITICIZING AMERICA?

Have you noticed that Trump and his followers who claim to love America are constantly criticizing our country. Their sacred slogan MAGA, “make America great again,” presupposes that something is wrong with our country. If they really are such patriots who love our country and worship the flag, why are they always finding things wrong with our nation? Why aren’t they praising the greatness of our country, its history, its rich traditions? If they really loved our country, they would acknowledge its greatness, instead of criticizing it.
When the news of the death of Alexei Navalny broke, Trump responded by saying that Navalny’s death made him realize how bad America is. Trump and his MAGA followers refused to hold Putin accountable for Navalny’s death and decided to use the event as an opportunity to criticize our country. “We are a nation in decline, a failing nation,” Trump said in a Truth Social post. In response to this recent tirade, President Biden asked, “Why does Trump always blame America? Biden also noted that Trump refused to say anything critical of Putin.
What is behind the effort to denigrate America? What seems to motivate this campaign is the political strategy that Trump and his MAGA supporters have adopted to defeat Biden and the democrats in the 2024 election. It appears that Trump and his followers are attempting to gain power by destroying those with whom they disagree and by demonizing them as the enemy. Trump has been doing this since 2016, using the bully pulpit against his opponents, making up lies and false claims about them. Instead of offering concrete and specific policies to address the problems that they see in America, all they seem to want to do is to destroy those who disagree with them. Their major political strategy is to teach their followers how to hate the enemy.
This approach became so evident recently on the issue of the bipartisan bill on immigration. The republican house of representatives had demanded a bill to fix the border crisis as a condition for any legislative action on the budget, Israel, or Ukraine. When they got the bill, which they had demanded, they refused to even consider it, because they were afraid that it might actually help solve the problem and make Joe Biden, the enemy, look good. This, of course, was done at the bidding of their leader Trump. Trump himself has admitted that he is responsible for sabotaging the bipartisan border deal. He even admits that his motive was political, to hurt Biden and the democrats. Even members of his own party acknowledge that the bipartisan proposal had strong support among Republicans and had a good chance of passing had Trump not sabotaged it. “It is appalling,” said Senator Mitt Romney of Utah, condemning Trump’s strategy of using the border as a political weapon rather than seeking to resolve the issue. He added, “The American people are suffering as a result of what’s happening at the border.”
Instead of doing something good to help keep America great and help the American people, Trump put his own political agenda of demonization and hate before the good of the country.
